Renee Roman Nose  (Camille)

is a mother, writer, activist, actor, comedian, an anthropologist interested in language and cultural preservation, a published poet, the author of Sweet Grass Talking. She was an opening comic at the Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton, Oregon and at the Tulalip Casino in Marysville, Washington, among other venues.

She has been involved in theatre much of her life, appearing in The Vagina Monologues, Apple Tree, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and others.  She has also been in several commercials, made television and radio appearances and is a frequent lecturer on Native issues (historical and contemporary) both in the U.S. and Europe.

She is currently working on her second book, Have Warpaint, Will Travel, writing a screenplay with Crystal Shade,  and finishing a master's degree in interdiscipliinary studies where her major is applied anthropology and minors are Native art history and ethnic studies.
